LEAN SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT is an emerging topic, as the nature of software system development is changing. Rather than building systems according to specification, innovation processes and customer intimacy are at the heart of software development, requiring unprecedented levels of agility and speed. This workshop will start by characterizing the new approach to software engineering and the implications it has on current development practices.
JAN BOSCH is professor of software engineering and director of the Software Center at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden. Earlier, he worked as Vice President Engineering Process at Intuit Inc. where he also led Intuit’s has broad industry experience.
HELENA HOLMSTRÖM Helena Holmström Olsson is an associate professor at Malmö University and a researcher in the Software Center at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden. Her research is conducted in close collaboration with industry and her research interests include agile methods and software process improvement.
